Excellent Student Accommodation and Student Houses in Bristol

FAQ

What do you get in each bedroom?

Each bedroom has a double bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers, desk and chair. Some of the larger rooms have additional furniture.

What do you have to pay?

You will need to pay the rent one month in advance, and utilities, i.e., gas, electricity, water and internet.

Who contacts the utility companies?

When you move in, we will agree the meter reading with you and call the suppliers directly. They will forward a welcome pack and set up a new account for you.

What if something goes wrong?

It is essential that our properties are properly maintained, so if you have any issues or if anything gets broken, we need to be advised as soon as possible so that we can act accordingly. The agent for the property is available 7 days a week, to help with any problems that might occur.

What about insurance?

All properties are insured as are the fixtures, fittings and the contents that come with the house. However, you will have to take out student insurance for your personal belongings as we are not responsible for them.

Is there a contract?

An Assured Shorthold Tenancy Agreement is created for each 12 month tenancy, to be completed by all tenants in that particular house. A parental guarantee is also required.

How much is the deposit?

To secure a property, each tenant needs to provide five weeks rent.

Is there an administration fee?

Unlike property agents, we do not charge any fees for completing the tenancy arrangements.

Who holds the deposits?

The deposits are held in a registered ‘Deposit Protection Scheme', in line with UK legislation.

When do the deposits get returned?

It is always our intention to return all deposits individually within 7 days of the last person vacating, having checked the condition of the property and it's contents against the Inventory. The property must be left as you found it (allowing for normal wear & tear), as if not, a cleaning/repair charge will be deducted from your deposits.
